The Roger Lancelyn Green Lecture 2021
As many will know, Richard Lancelyn Green, honoured by the Sherlock Holmes Society of London in an annual lecture named after him, was the distinguished son of a distinguished father. Roger Lancelyn Green was a member of our Society from the beginning until his death in 1987…
Roger was a member of the Inklings, the Oxford literary group. alongside C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and others. And he was an authority on another Oxford writer, the Revd Charles Dodgson, known to the world as Lewis Carroll. In 1969 he helped found the Lewis Carroll Society, which honours his memory with the annual Roger Lancelyn Green Lecture.
The 2021 RLG Lecture on the 21st July will be delivered online. All are welcome!
