The 2017 Richard Lancelyn Green Memorial Lecture, held at the National Liberal Club on the 12th October, was delivered by Michael Dirda, BSI. A Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and author of On Conan Doyle, or The Whole Art of Storytelling, Michael has been called "the best-read man in America". His topic was the villainous contemporaries of the Napoleon of Crime.
