The London Mini-Festival Weekend – in photographs!

Parliament_at_Sunset

The latest albums in the Society's on-line Gallery form a photographic record of the London Mini-Festival, which began on Thursday 19 May with the Annual General Meeting and a dazzling display of Holmesian magic by Ian Keable. On Friday, after tea at the House of Lords, thanks to Lord Horam, we repaired to the Strand Palace Hotel for Geraldine Beare's fascinating talk about The Strand Magazine, which will always be associated with Holmes and Conan Doyle. Saturday's event was an introduction to the Percival David Collection of Chinese Ceramics at the British Museum – something Dr Hill Barton would no doubt have appreciated. The weekend concluded on Sunday 22 May, Sir Arthur's birthday, with a vintage bus tour of Canonical sites in Lambeth, led by Roger Johnson.

If you took photos over the weekend, especially at the talk on Friday evening or at the Oriental ceramics event on Saturday, and don't mind sharing them via the Gallery and/or The Sherlock Holmes Journal, may we ask you, please, to e-mail them to Roger Johnson at shjournal@btinternet.com? You'll be properly credited, of course, and the copyright remains with you.

Thank you!
