SILENT SHERLOCK

The newly rediscovered and restored 1916 film Sherlock Holmes, starring William Gillette in an adaptation of his own play, will be shown at BFI Southbank (formerly the National Film Theatre) on 18 October, the final day of this year's BFI London Film Festival.
