Calling all Sherlock Holmes fans! our pub is hosting a Sherlock Holmes costume contest on Friday the 29th of September.  There will be prizes for the best costumes, and all donations will go to Macmillan Cancer Support. To enter, simply dress up as your favourite Sherlock Holmes character and come to our pub on September the 29th. The contest will start at 7pm, and the winner will be announced at 10pm. We can’t wait to see all your amazing costumes! Here are a few character ideas to get you started: Sherlock Holmes, Dr Watson, Mrs Hudson, the Hound of the Baskervilles…

The famous pub opened as the Sherlock Holmes in 1957, and has always enjoyed a close relationship with the Sherlock Holmes Society of London. Over the decades, our members have provided materials, advice and assistance to ensure the quality and authenticity of the Holmesian displays; for more than 30 years, the Editor of The District Messenger and the Editor of The Sherlock Holmes Journal have been honorary curators of Holmes and Watson’s iconic sitting-room.
