“Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle and Switzerland” – the official launch is cancelled

We regret to report that the official launch of the Reichenbach Irregulars’ book, scheduled for the 15th June, has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle and Switzerland:
Serious and less serious musings from
The Reichenbach Irregulars of Switzerland

Edited by Marcus Geisser, Guy Marriott & Michael Meer

As an alternative, please look out for the July 10 “Routes from Reichenbach” event, organized together with one of the most prolific US Sherlock Holmes societies, The Red Circle of Washington DC, run by Peter E. Blau, who wrote the introduction to our book. The event entitled Routes from Reichenbach will feature our authors Eva Iggland, Guy Marriott and Bryan Stone who will analyse which routes Sherlock Holmes might have taken when he escaped the Reichenbach Falls and found himself a week later in Florence.

Praise for “Sherlock Holmes, Arthur Conan Doyle and Switzerland – Serious and less serious musings from The Reichenbach Irregulars of Switzerland”

“You will find much about the country’s Sherlockian and Doylean connections in the excellent papers presented here, from the conferences arranged by the Reichenbach Irregulars. One can only hope there will be more conferences, and more volumes to come.”
      Peter E. Blau, BSI

“We believe that such a wonderful book could only be produced by a superb society such as The Reichenbach Irregulars of Switzerland. We hope that this first book published by the Reichenbach Irregulars will be read by many future generations of Sherlockians.”
Akane Higashiyama, BSI, and Mitch Higurashi, BSI
