The controversity continues.
Within a year of its visit to the ‘other place’ the Society turned its magnifying glass towards Cambridge.
The organiser of the weekend was Jonathan McCafferty who also edited the handbook. It is the perfect Light Blue antidote to Margaret Bird’s handbook about Oxford. Peter Horrocks makes a convincing case for Trinity Hall being St Luke’s in 3Stu and Auberon Redfearn’s fourteen-page piece on the ‘Controversity’ and all associated ramifications bears several re-readings.

Overseas members of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London have always needed to pay higher subscription rates than UK based members to cover the extra cost of postage and packaging for mailing the Sherlock Holmes Journal outside the UK. The Society is now changing the way it presents its membership prices so that the subscription is the same for UK and non-UK members, but the additional postage and packaging that are associated with overseas membership is now added on as a separate postage cost.
If you are looking to buy membership as a gift or multiple memberships, or if you experience difficulty with applying online, please contact the Membership Secretary: firstname.lastname@example.org.
