The guest of Honour at the Society’s Annual Dinner this year was Nicholas Meyer BSI, whose novel The Seven Percent Solution helped spark a world-wide revival of interest in Sherlock Holmes.

Since then, he has proved himself as a leading writer and director, beginning with his Oscar-nominated screenplay for the film of The Seven Percent Solution.

On Wednesday the 22nd March, Nicholas will be talking to our member Luke Deckard about his experience writing and directing on Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan and The Undiscovered Country and his five Sherlock Holmes novels, his latest being The Return of the Pharaoh!

You will learn invaluable facts about storytelling and filmmaking, and you’ll discover what it was like for Nicholas to approach both Star Trek and Holmes, telling new and compelling stories with such established characters!
