After many years as our Merchandising Officer, Mr Robert Ellis is retiring at this year’s AGM in May. Mr Ellis has managed the Society’s excellent stock of Society publications and accessories with great success and we are indebted to him for his great service to the Society.

We are seeking to appoint a new Merchandising Officer. The role does, of course, bring the Officer into contact with members and the public who wish to make purchases from the Society’s on-line Shop. Orders are received by post but mainly through our website so some computer skills are essential. A confident and friendly approach is very important.

The main duties of the position are:

• to manage the Society’s merchandise
• to accept and despatch orders received
• to report on the management of merchandise to the Society Council

The position requires a time commitment, particularly in the run up to Christmas.
