As the world becomes more and more digital, much of the society’s functions are now handled online, via this website.  We are aware that there can be some difficulties when using the website so we have provided the following information that will hopefully help resolve the most common issues.

The society now operates a “365 membership” arrangement so that your membership runs for a full year from the date you join until you need to renew your subscription. (For example, if you join on 1 July, your renewal subscription will become due on 1 July the following year).

I cannot log onto my account?

There could be a number of reasons for this:

  • You do not have an account on the website yet – a number of members of the Society do not yet have website accounts set up as they have not purchased anything through the website. If you have not purchased anything through the website then this may be the likely cause of this issue. Please create an account by using this link: https://www.sherlock-holmes.org.uk/my-account/.
  • Your account uses a different e mail address- it could be that when you originally created your account you used a different e mail address from the one you are currently using. Please check to see if you can log in using a different e mail address.
  • Your password is incorrect – you can reset your password using this link: https://www.sherlock-holmes.org.uk/my-account/lost-password/.

I am having problems paying

The Society’s payments are currently handled by PayPal. You can use PayPal either as a guest or by using your own PayPal account.
