The Society’s May meeting and Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 18 May at the National Liberal Club.

The Thames Police Museum at Wapping Police Station is contained within an old Carpenter’s workshop. During the visit we will find out how The Thames Marine Police Force became the world’s first organised body of police in response to the huge amount of criminal activity that plagued the Thames in the late eighteenth century.

The Sherlock Holmes Society of London has been offered the unique opportunity to visit The Gordon Museum of Pathology at King’s College (Guy’s Campus) and to hear a lecture given by the Museum’s Director William (Bill) Edwards, "Medicine in Victorian London and before".
