The Morning After 2024

The Sherlock Holmes Society of London’s Morning After function will be held on Sunday 21 January 2024 at the Boot & Flogger, 10-20 Redcross Way, Southwark London SE1 1TA.
The Boot & Flogger is the original Davy’s Wine Bar. Opened in 1965 by John Davy trading as a Free Vintner – a privilege granted by the Worshipful Company of Vintners – it became the blueprint for wine bars across London.
Redcross Way lies between London Bridge, Borough and Southwark Stations, near Borough Market.
The event is the chance for an informal get together, with no planned entertainment, other than a Sunday lunch. The venue will open at 12pm and lunch will be served at 1.30pm and will consist of:
Roast Norfolk chicken, lemon, garlic, thyme with sage and onion stuffing served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and Madeira gravy
followed by Treacle tart, Cornish clotted cream
A vegetarian alternative main course may be ordered in advance. Please advise any dietary requirements when booking.
We have held the price to the same as last year at £35.00 per head.
