Annual General Meeting & Quiz
Due to the reduced number of members booked to attend our meeting on Thursday 19th May, we will not have sufficient people to hold a quorate AGM. The AGM will be deferred to a new date in the Autumn. Details will be circulated in late Summer.
The Society’s AGM will be held at The Little Ship Club, Three Cranes Walk, Upper Thames Street, London EC4R 3TB, at 6.00 for 6.45pm. The main entrance to the club is situated on the Thames Path, with easy pedestrian access from the steps at the north end of Southwark Bridge (City of London bank of the Thames). Take the steps on the downstream (Tower Bridge) side of the bridge and walk approximately 15 metres, the entrance to the club is on your left.
The nearest underground stations are Cannon St and Mansion House, a 5-6 minute walk away.
Members and their guests may opt to attend the meeting only at £17/US$25 per head, or to dine beforehand at a cost of £45/US$67 per head. This includes VAT and service but not drinks, which must be paid for on the day. For those who choose to dine, the meal will comprise two courses:
Roasted guinea fowl, parmentier potatoes, purple sprouting broccoli
Modern lemon meringue pie with coconut chantilly and lime jelly on a sable biscuit.
A vegetarian alternative main course may be ordered in advance, please advise your request when booking. Drinks can be purchased by card, contactless payments only, from the bar, from which coffee may also be obtained. Dinner will be served promptly at 6.45pm and will be followed by the meeting itself from around 8pm. Non diners may gather in the Club Room which houses the bar.
