Christmas in Baker Street

May all your carbuncles be blue!
A few days ago our good friend Peter Blau forwarded an article from the Irish edition of The Sun, listing some of this year’s outstanding Christmas illuminations in the UK (but not, curiously, the Republic of Ireland). The exciting news for us was that Baker Street Quarter Partnership of Marylebone has installed lights at the junction of Baker Street and Marylebone Road, on the theme of “The Blue Carbuncle”.
Fortunately I happened to be in the area on the 23rd November, the day after the lights were switched on, and was able to take some photographs as twilight came creeping. Presumably the lights will remain until the Twelfth Day of Christmas, so there’s time still to appreciate this homage to Mr Henry Baker’s goose!
