The Society’s Annual General Meeting was held over Zoom on 13^th May 2021.

We are delighted that Jonathan McCafferty has agreed to continue in the role of President for 2021-2022.

Very sincere thanks were recorded to the out-going Chairman, David Jones, who has completed his three year term and steered the Society through some of the most difficult times in its history as the pandemic struck and we went into lockdown after lockdown.  David ensured the right people were in the right place at the right time to keep the Society going as we made the technological leap to Zoom.

We are delighted that, as I am stepping up to the position of Chairman, Jane Arnold-Forster has agreed to take over the post of Joint Honorary Secretary (Meetings), and we thank her for all the work she has already done in hosting our Zoom meetings.

We are grateful that Catherine Mayo continues as Joint Honorary Secretary (Membership),   Ashley Mayo as Honorary Treasurer, and Roger Johnson and Heather Owen as Joint Honorary Editors.

Marcus Geisser has come to the end of his term and we thank him for his service to our Society. Judi and Bob Ellis, Bonnie MacBird and Chris Seymour continue as Council members.  We are very pleased to welcome Valerie Schreiner and Helen Dorey on to Council.

We thank everyone for their sterling work over the past year, as well as our co-opted Council members, Paul Gillings (Merchandising), Jonny Hough (Webmaster), John Morewood (Gazetteer), Jean Upton (District Messenger) and Nicholas Utechin (Society Archivist).

Members will be pleased to note that there will be no increase in subscription prices for 2022.

A gentle reminder – please note that subscriptions are due for 2021.  Could those of you who have not already paid this year’s subscription please do so?
