Memories of a Capital Weekend!

The events of the traditional long weekend – 24th to 27th May – began with the Annual General Meeting (which included a bravura performance by David Stuart Davies). There followed a visit to the splendid Postal Museum (with a thrilling trip underground on the once-secret Post Office Railway), a day at Arthur Conan Doyle’s former Surrey home Undershaw, courtesy of Stepping Stones School, and a walk through the historic City of London, conducted by London Walks guide Richard Burnip.

You’ll find a pictorial record of the weekend on the Society’s on-line Gallery at https://www.flickr.com/photos/shsl/sets/ – or click on “Gallery” above.

There’s also an album of photos taken at the recent naming of the Class 20 Locomotive Society’s “Sherlock Holmes”.

Many thanks to those who have contributed photographs!
