From the 30th August to the 2nd September the StageHouse at Portsmouth's New Theatre Royal will be haunted by a horrible hairy hound and a defective detective! A fast-paced, far-fetched spoof of The Hound of the Baskervilles. Conan Doyle’s famous novel is given a fondly farcical overhaul in this caper through London, the moors, and back to Baker Street. After leaving Edinburgh University, Arthur Conan Doyle was invited by a former fellow-student to join him in a successful medical practice in Plymouth. The partnership would not last long, but the experience had a profound effect on Conan Doyle's life and career.
