The Silver Blaze Wessex CupTHE SHERLOCK HOLMES SOCIETY OF LONDON IS DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE A COMMEMORATIVE RUNNING OF THE SILVER BLAZE WESSEX CUP "I am afraid, Watson, that I shall have to go," said Holmes... On 3 May (Bank Holiday Monday) for the first time in its history the Sherlock Holmes Society of London will be sponsoring one of the races on the card at Kempton Park - The Silver Blaze Wessex Cup. To celebrate this special occasion we have taken a private box - in fact the Royal Box - where you will be able to watch the racing in regal surroundings and enjoy a three course meal (although curried mutton is not on the menu). The Royal Box has its own private entrance with a dramatic staircase, and direct access to the betting ring and finishing post lawn areas. This is an unique opportunity - one not to be missed. Trains will run every half an hour from Waterloo with the journey time being just 40 minutes. By road the race course is located on the A308 between Sunbury on Thames and Hampton Court - less than one mile from Junction 1 of the M3 via Junction 12 of the M25.
