Sherlock Holmes investigates the evil actions of Jack the Ripper in the latest production at Grimsby’s Caxton Theatre
The Grimsby theatre is bringing to the stage a familiar yet-ever popular theme with the thriller Holmes and the Ripper, written by Brian Clemens.
Set in London in 1888, the streets of the East End are plagued by the ghastly murders of the infamous Jack the Ripper.
With the capital under murderous threat, the world’s greatest detective, Sherlock Holmes and his astute companion Dr John Watson, join forces with the enigmatic psychic Catherine Mead to put an end to the bloodshed.
This play is a must for fans of Sherlock Holmes and those fascinated by the evil actions of the notorious Jack the Ripper.
And with a mysterious Masonic conspiracy at hand, this play offers thrills, chills and the occasional spill of blood.
Holmes and the Ripper will run from Saturday, April 27 to Saturday, May 4 and the venue’s Studio Bar will be open before the performances, during intervals and again at the end of the play for audience members to enjoy a drink. In addition, tea, coffee and ice creams will also be available during the interval.
Free parking is available at the car park on Orwell Street, where a security guard is on duty throughout the performance funded by the theatre for audience members’ peace of mind.
