The Ivy Café, Marylebone is celebrating Sherlock Holmes’ birthday with an immersive, interactive dining experience, taking place for one-night-only on Monday, 28 January.
Located only a short walk from Baker Street, the infamous home of the legendary detective, guests are invited to enjoy a Sherlock-inspired evening of theatre, music, cocktails, and a delicious three course dinner in collaboration with Naked Grouse whisky.
A limited number of tickets, priced at £75.00 per person (plus a £4.19 Eventbrite fee), are available for guests to purchase, with the script (produced by Scripts for Supper) taking influence from both Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories and the 1939-1946 film series featuring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. Throughout the evening, diners will be tasked with cracking a criminal case based on a string of inexplicable deaths, alongside Holmes, his assistant Dr. Watson, and the beautiful and mysterious Ada Innsbruck, whilst following an entertaining series of clues played out by talented actors.
In further celebration of Sherlock Holmes and his connection to the surrounding area, the restaurant is serving up a bespoke cocktail throughout the month of January. Inspired by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famous novel, the A Study in Scarlet cocktail is priced at £7.50 and combines Naked Grouse whisky, ginger liqueur, cranberry juice and grenadine.
