The Newsletter of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London
The District Messenger, the newsletter of the Sherlock Holmes Society of London, began as the Society's "Grapevine Service" in 1982. The aim was to inform interested parties of forthcoming Holmesian plays and other events. The DM still does that - as well as covering films, radio and TV programmes, reviewing books, and much more!
Still written and distributed by its founder, Roger Johnson, it is published to an irregular schedule, ten or eleven times a year, and is available to members and non-members alike. E-mail subscriptions are free: contact firstname.lastname@example.org. To enquire about postal subscriptions, write to Mole End, 41 Sandford Road, Chelmsford CM2 6DE, England. Each new issue is also posted on the Sherlock Holmes Society's website at www.sherlock-holmes.org.uk, where you'll also find a complete archive in fully searchable pdf format.
